The Bell Motel in Preston is a sweet little haven for anyone looking to explore Melbourne or support loved ones nearby, like I did during my sister's stay. The proximity to High Street means you can stumble upon great restaurants and vibrant local life, while the friendly hotel staff made the whole experience feel like a warm homecoming. I particularly enjoyed starting my day with their free breakfast, which was a delightful mix of cereal, fresh fruit, and toast-perfect fuel before diving into the city's culinary delights! Despite the room being a touch dated, the spa suite almost made me forget-until I had to improvise a plug with toilet paper, that is! the Bell Motel hits all the right notes for comfort and convenience, making it my go-to spot during future visits.
